Describe Yourself:Sonia Bruni is a freelancer, website article writer. She has now been working independently as a writer for more than ten years. She writes for ‘Ezilon.com’ and ‘JustLuxé.com on a regular basis, and is a member of writing groups such as ‘Generations Read Together’ and ‘scifigroup · Children's Sci Fi & Fantasy Writers’.
She graduated from Edgehill College, Great Britain in 1982 and went on to specialize as a parliamentary translator at the ‘High School for Interpreters and Translators’ in Rome.
Sonia decided to start writing when she joined the airlines in 1988. Facinated by the different cultures and landscapes, she started jotting down thoughts and the different adventures she experienced. Her camera was also her companion: "It helped me catch each situation and site, so I wouldn't forget what I was living and feeling. It made it easier to reminisce for later work," she says.
During these ten years she worked as a part time translator and wrote articles about the places and people she visited during her travels worldwide. She also loves photography, notably portraits and landscapes.
After having worked on and off professionally in the translation field for ten years, she stopped all professional activity for five years and plunged into the field of 'motherhood', with three children and husband to look after.
"This new and unequalled experience as a mother, spurred me on to start writing for children. As I watch my children play, squabble and laugh, I imagine the characters in my book doing just the same..."
After countless articles on Travel, Parenting, Fitness, Health, E-commerce and other subjects, Sonia Bruni has now finished writing ‘The Secret of Whistling Willow’, her first adventure book for children. She has also started writing the follow up...

Don Ford, Feb 17, 2011, 6:04AM ESTHi Sonia,
Sometimes we are there, but no one seems to know it. I acknowledge you here, and wish all the best for you in your writing endeavors as well. Today, I speak at a Jewish Retirement home. They want a Winter theme, so I dragged out my coldest, most chilling stuff, to read to them. LOL
Tonight I go to my art gallery venue to meet folks who want to see and talk about my work. Storteller by day and artist by night. LOL Don :-}
